Lots of non-prostitute thai women go to Gulliver’s. It can be a bit of a cattle market, sure, but there most definitely are girls going out with their girlfriends to drink and dance and nothing more. My wife and her friends always end the night there when they’re all over here from the various places scattered around the globe where they live. I don’t care much for the place, but it’s not all prostitutes there. The staff are fun too. Increasingly more Thais go out to Khao San now just to socialise, including Thai couples.

Yes, Crystal Ball Guy was awesome. If I didn’t know any better I’d say you convinced some guy on the street to wave his hands around in a majestic manner so you could go back and composite a ball in there…all to fool your friends back home.

Seriously…that guy was great. Thanks for sharing. And thanks for not finding out his real name, so you could give him the so-appropriate title of “Crystal Ball Guy.”
